The privacy of VerifiedCare.app users is important to us. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
Information We Collect
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and contact details. Used to manage your subscription, send service communications, and provide support.
Provider claim information: If you claim a provider profile, we collect your NPI number, credentials, and any additional information you voluntarily add to your profile (phone number, address, photos, service description). This information is displayed publicly on your provider profile.
Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. Stripe’s privacy policy governs payment data handling.
Usage data and log files: We collect IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, search queries, timestamps, and general geographic region. Used for security monitoring, debugging, and service improvement.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with VerifiedCare.app. GA4 collects anonymized usage data including page views, session duration, and general geographic region. We do not use GA4 to identify individual users. You can opt out via your browser’s privacy controls or the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
Cookies
We use cookies for:
- Session management (keeping you logged in)
- GA4 analytics (anonymized traffic data)
- Cloudflare performance and security (edge caching, bot mitigation)
We do not use cookies for advertising. We do not serve third-party ads. VerifiedCare.app is ad-free.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve VerifiedCare.app services
- To process subscription billing and send invoices
- To display claimed provider profiles to families searching for care
- To respond to support requests and data correction inquiries
- To send service-related notifications (data updates, billing, account changes)
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your search activity or care inquiries for advertising purposes.
Provider Profile Data
Provider profiles on VerifiedCare are pre-seeded from federal public databases (NPPES NPI Registry, OIG LEIE, CMS). This data is publicly available government information and is not considered private under applicable law. Caregivers who claim their profile and voluntarily add additional information consent to that information being displayed publicly.
Data Sharing
We share data only with:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Google — anonymized analytics via GA4
- Cloudflare — CDN, security, and performance
- Law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by valid legal process
Data Retention
Account data is retained for the life of your subscription plus a reasonable period thereafter for billing and legal compliance. Claimed provider profile information is retained until you request its removal. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us at [email protected].
Security
We implement industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), Cloudflare WAF protection, and restricted database access. No system is completely secure. Please contact us promptly if you become aware of a security issue.
CCPA / California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to request access to, deletion of, and information about the personal information we hold about you. Contact us at [email protected] to exercise these rights.
Children’s Privacy
VerifiedCare.app is intended for adults making care decisions for themselves or their family members. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect upon posting. We will notify subscribers of material changes by email.
